Its that time of year again Easter time and outside our office a basket has arrived full of Red eggs I want to catch the chicken that laid them! That said i reckon i could come off worse to a giant Chicken. All over  Limassol various Easter goodies have appeared so i may go out and picture some over the weekend for all you lovely people   What i cant figure out is why U.K Easter is a different week than Cyprus Easter ? Perhaps there was more than one Jesus.  Why also do we have giant Eggs and choco bunnies. Time to eat my cream eggs i reckon

O.K Time for some property promos as its about time to advertise a special so to speak. This property i have chosen is in the popular village of Vouni ( where the donkey sanctuary is ) and also close to a couple of wineries , one in Koilani and one in Ayios Mamas .. i just happen to know where the Cyprus wineries are as i use them to direct people around Cyprus. Similar to the way i used to direct people around UK via Public Houses.  Anyway back to the Property: A village house in Vouni It is a typical Cypriot Home but with the possibility of acquiring the adjacent property to develop this into one of a kind. Had to stop and snap this as its something i have never seen before…a Portable Church .. for those who need to pray when ever and where ever. God knows there are lots of Sinners in Cyprus and im sure “Porta Church” should be very popular, i will endeavour to find out where and how much “Porta Church” is in due course. There are four lifting rings, one at each corner and it looks slim enough to fit on a low loader transporter. This one is currently “Parked” on the road down from the Ayios Athanasios highway turn off on the main weekend fruit / veg / car boot stalls market ,down town Limassol.

Over the Xmas break this one bed roomed apartment for sale in Paphos came in and at a decent price even taking into account the euro sterling exchange rate. I have made it one of the feature properties on the Kaimar home page but a quick summary is that its a one bed roomed very tidy apartment with a good sized communal swimming pool and set in the popular area of Kato Paphos. The complex itself is in excellent order and of a manageable size and a large supermarket is within easy walking distance. All in all value for your money!

The main road outside our Cyprus Property Sales office is a dangerous place! A tricky straight bit of road. All too often the traffic lights are taken out and the street lights take a hammering. A few doors down is this unlucky fellow which despite taking a hit is still standing! The next street light and the one after have fared better but still carry heavy war wounds. We are lucky enough to have a street light and a palm tree in between the local drivers and our Property shop window. The tattoo shop a couple of doors away has had his window taken out not once, not twice, but three times in as many years! Two down sides in Cyprus in my opinion. The standard of Driving and Animal welfare. However the upsides are numerous otherwise i would not be here. Besides which Gordon Brown does not “Do it” for me

At the back of my house in Ayios Athanasios is an up and coming apartment block under construction, some of which is being sub contracted. I could not help myself taking this pic of a truck parked on site. Im well known for taking pics of signs! A few choice images come to mind for Tev Starkey. We had a bit of rain …. yes it does rain in Cyprus… and after the downpour of 20 minutes or so i took the hounds out on their daily walk in the sun The strange thing was i saw loads of people walking on “our” dog walk with sticks and plastic bags! Well not quite. I visited Trimiklini and there is shop on the main road that sells the best Bee Honey and Village Halloumi Cheese in Cyprus. Set on the main road on the left hand side going up towards Troodos and you would drive past in an instance. Aladdin’s Honey cave lies inside. The honey is pure and healthy and is available with or without honey comb. The halloumi sits in large and small containers on the shop floor and will keep on your kitchen floor for years. Its Sheep Halloumi and when BBQ’d is to die for! Plus its not going to break the bank. The Honey pot pictured cost me 8 Euros and the mid sized Halloumi was 13 Euros. The shop is called the Mountain Honey Shop.. but blink and you will miss it!

I saw my parents off via Paphos Airport yesterday and killed two birds with one stone by taking on this Property for sale in Anoyira on the return airport run. The owners are upping and leaving for France and have already bought so are wanting to bring closure to Cyprus and move on. It does need some work, all be it cosmetic. Woodwork needs re varnishing and the internal stone walls need sealing. It is a very quirky property with lots of non uniform angles. These type of properties i personally favour and get excited about. The asking price is very reasonable and Anoyira village out from Pissouri is a popular one with everyone and has everything you would need for day to day living. This building and former restaurant is on the main Tourist seaside strip of Germasogeia ,Limassol and very much in full public view. Nothing has been done after a gutting fire months ago. No “Clean up” operations at all. We are now at the height of the tourist season and this eye sore is a memory that tourists and locals alike see daily and will “Take home” with them. I read constantly in the local press from the hoteliers and tourism industry bodies in general that Tourists are down on previous years and there is grave concern about the future for tourism in Cyprus. Lots of complaining ….. Your comments please….
